Privacy Policy

Klok runs entirely on your device. We operate no user accounts, no collection server, no central database. Your hours, clients, comments and exports stay on your machine. We never have access to them.

All data is stored in a local database in your Documents folder, and automatically backed up in the same place. The software connects to no remote server to operate. It works offline, indefinitely.

The mobile app stores your data on the phone only. The one network communication it performs is Wi-Fi synchronisation with your Klok Desktop, on your local network (LAN), when you trigger it yourself. No data goes through the internet or any third-party server.

• “Local network” permission (iOS) — needed to discover your Klok Desktop and sync your hours to it over the same Wi-Fi. It is never used for anything else.
• “Internet” permission (Android) — used solely to open the local (HTTP) connection to your workstation on the network. No data leaves your network.

No ads, no advertising identifier, no analytics SDK.

Klok includes no analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK or equivalent), no advertising cookies, no trackers. Neither the software nor this website relies on Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon or Microsoft to track you.

If you request assistance, our technician can access your screen via Splashtop SOS — only at your initiative and with your explicit consent, for the duration of the session. No access happens without your request, and nothing is installed permanently.

klokapp.ch is a static website, hosted in Switzerland. It sets no cookies, loads no external resources and uses no audience-measurement tools.

As we hold no data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete: your data is already, and only, in your hands. You remain in control of your local files at all times. Klok is designed to be compliant with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR by its very architecture.
